@misery: where u find the Hammer Box set?

Hey Dr Who (daleks scare me shitless btw). I ordered the hammer house of horror box set thingy from Amazon.co.uk. Be warned though, some of the episodes are seriously cheesy and the 80's fashions are sometimes scarier than the scripts. A fair few classics though. They're also selling the suspense and mystery series, but even if I hadn't maxed out my credit card I can't remember whether those shows were any good or not and worth ordering.

I grew up watching Dr Who from behind the sofa for the same reason. Will have a look on Amazon. Thanks.

Hey Ghost...
There's a video store at Craighall park, some lovelies there...
Video Spot i think,
They've got the hammer box set.
Roll Eyes

OK So i'm going to go chase the lightning.
Embarrassed
Wish me luck!

Oh YES! Event Horizon gives me nightmares...
Donnie Darko totally freaks me out...
The Ring (When Samarah is climbing out the well/TV) Horrible...
The Exorcism of Emily Bronte was good, brilliantly good! well done movie, great effects, almost believable but it think they romaticised the actual story, suppose they'd have to.
Seems to have alot of influence from Soul Survivors.
Creepy Hillbillies don't do it for me
And Killing for fun on screen is an art in my dreams... Don't ask.
Nightmare on Elm street i still enjoy, and I.T i will never watch that again. i've probably suped it up in my head but NEVER again! It petrified me!!
Thrillers are still my forte since the American definition of a horror has come into play (STUPID, UNREALISTIC & GOREY)
Session 9... right up to the end and then it wasn't worth it.
Butterfly effect  Cry that was the most beautiful movie ever!
AND THEN... What dreams may come.
OK OK
I'm going

Lightning!!
Angry

IMHO, the book was INFINTELY better. Try to get hold of it if you enjoyed the movie, it's by Richard Matheson.

Was wondering if Silent Hill mentioned by T-Duck in the original post has eventually launched/premiered in SA as yet? I see it released in the US, 21 April 2006 and is already out on DVD there.

Check out WelcomeTo SilentHill.com for more on the movie.

Well, I've emailed both Ster Kinekor and Nu Metro about it, so we'll see if I get any response from them!  I'll post the reply I get.

Here's the (speedy!) reply I got from Ster Kinekor:
Quote:
Thank you for your query. Silent Hills is scheduled for release on 16 February 2007. Please note that the release date is subject to change at the discretion of the International Studios.  Visit our website www.sterkinekor.com or contact Ticketline on 082 16789 closer to the release date to see where it will be showing near you.

There you go!! 16 feb NEXT YEAR.  Jeez. Undecided

Hmm... thinking about that. Do you, TyrannicalDuck think you could send me the Ster Kinekor contact /number you got the movie info from?
I'm thinking about the new chinsaw masacre... or "the beginning" one.
I've got a great idea and as soon as i know where to hide it i'll let you and Joe in on it.

Well then you have the touch. I mailed them both ages ago about A Scanner Darkly and didn't get a response from either.

I suggest we all mail them incessantly about scanner darkly. However, I believe that Linklater was quite clever in including the monotone Keanu Reeves in the movie, for it might be the only thing that insures it being played here...

I got bad news for you
I have a release schedule of all confirmed ciematic releases until Dec 2008 and A Scanner Darkly is nowhere to be found on it Sad

This could just mean that it hasn't been confirmed yet or it could mean that it is not being released on circuit... I will keep you posted as soon as I have any more info
